New Houses and Puppies in Bend

Oh, Bend.  The weather was perfect, the drive was beautiful too.  Our friends James and Aimee bought a new house and got a puppy.  We stayed with them in their downstairs apartment.  Lindsey and Tom bought a house too, and were painting and updating to get ready to rent it out.  We helped, relaxed, explored, and enjoyed the awesome spots around Bend.  We love it there, and hope to make it out again to visit soon.  

Home Times

Having a relaxing weekend at home definitely helps us combat the stress of the work week.  We caught up on some chores, hung out with friends, and visited with family while watching the Seahawks game (whoohoo - we're going to the Super Bowl!).  Oh, and we spent some quality time with the fur family.  I don't think I mention how much I love them enough.

Kalaloch

 Kelly did a little fly fishing while we took a hike through some thick woods along the river.

 The cold temperatures were the only thing to remind us that this is still winter.

Such a wonderful weekend spent with our friends Christina and Kelly.  We stayed in a Kalaloch Lodge cabin and went to sleep and woke up to the most amazing view.  The stars were all out and we ate at the restaurant there for dinner.  The only bummer was that Lane and I were sick.  Other than that, I'm so happy that thus far in 2014, we have been seizing the weekends!  One of my resolutions is to be active outdoors and take more photos and videos of our adventures.  Here's to 2014!
